Making It Up North Documentary Series on PBS North

I produce a series called Making It Up North for PBS North. Making It Up North is a digital-first series celebrating the people, places, and ideas that define the Northland. Through short, visually rich mini docs, we explore the blend of natural beauty, creativity, and community that drives the region. Each episode captures the resilience, innovation, and connection that make the Northland extraordinary. Here are a few of my favorite episodes:

RESA- short film about the connection between a commercial fisherman, pig farmer, and chef.

This film was simply a joy to make. The word RESA is a Swedish word meaning journey, and I never could have imagined how great and significant the journey to make this film would actually be. Simply put, I truly fell in love with the North Shore of Lake Superior while working on this production and after many more trips, we decided to make this amazing place our home.

Hungry Hippie Tacos

I’ve produced a good deal of video content for my friends at Hungry Hippie Tacos, but here is a short piece about how they create the awesomeness. I also just completed a brand new menu design for them, which included the creation of some really fun new taco names. Here is their full brand film that I produced and directed:

Covid Personal Film Project

Not Sure Yet is a short film that I produced in March and April of 2020. I asked some friends to share their thoughts- their story- on navigating these crazy times. Friends from all over the world responded with incredible insight and honesty. So many different situations and perspectives...I created this short film based entirely on their words. I gathered all of the footage the last couple of years. Filmed in Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Montana, New Orleans, Utah, Idaho, South Dakota, and Oregon.
